Presidents Status Report
Vol 2 Issue 1 - January 24, 2010
Status Report:
We have tried to split up the duties to various individuals – but are still fine tuning the organization. The office is open for business in Ottawa. We are now over a 1000 members with new applications coming in daily.
We are growing and going to grow even more so now is a good time to move from a “Mom and Pop” run from a room in the basement –to a small organization or “corporation “ approach with a separate VP Sec-Tres/QM/Membership/Recruiting - each with their own area of responsibility.
We have a new Director of Recruiting appointed today – welcome James Bonney who has extensive experience in other organization especially recruiting. He will be coming up with a recruiting plan – there are 250,000 potential members “out there”. James is at jim.bonney@gdcanada.com .
Duties have been assigned to each interim officer along with priorities. Of course there will be changes to organization and approach as we get “smarter” as we implement and find what and who works best –plus what priorities we forgot or have to reprioritize. So please be patient with us –on the other hand we are listening and want your feedback.
If you are in a region – please contact your local regional District President – we are not only going to have an operating Executive mostly in Ottawa – but an Advisory Council from each region.
We are building the new organization to be a veteran organization that can and will grow. There is no reason –with your help and support – we can not be the number one modern veteran’s organization in Canada.
