Presidents Status Report

Vol 2 Issue 4 - April 22, 2010

Greeting All NATO Org Members: So much is happening – and so quickly – a two week Status is now necessary.

President

Matt Carson -our VP - had a “successful “operation – but is on recuperative leave until 22 May 2010. Doug Brunton – the National Regional Director is in for a hip operation on 3 May. Good luck to both.

The Constitution for NATO Veterans Org of Canada by our lawyer Director at Large Michael Laurie from Newfoundland is out for comment – please comment to Cal Bellamy by end of May or we will assume you of course agree with everything ! Seriously our lawyer has written for us a basic standard constitution whereby items such as Dress regulations can be added or changed by adding an Annex.

The NATO Veterans new modern Web Page www.natoveterans.org NATO Vet Org Web page is revised also – congratulations to the patient Webmaster Michael Bryan and Adjutant Cal Bellamy. We are now looking at the next generation - and consulting with you –on using Facebook /Twitter or some way of getting information out fast – bilingually!

I still plan on issuing a new NATO Exec Org Chart –my problem is not so much the organization as it is to find someone to put the Org chart into a neat Power Point format :>)

Phase 3 is happening. The Headquarters and now the majority of provincial regions are going flat out on building a NATO Veterans Org solid base –our first priority; The HQ NATO Exec will meet May 22 2010 and plan our “sales” program strategy for the fall 2010. A Cross Canada Conference Call is planned for June – date TBA. We will not loose ant momentum over the summer! We have had a conference call from VAC Minister’s Chief Policy Advisor in Charlettown as the Deputy Minister was asking him about “this NATO Veterans Organization”. I have also had several “fraternal “calls from other older Veterans Organizations inquiring on us –our plans-our growth. As I mentioned building the NATO base then growing NATO members is first priority. Your feedback on any of the above approach is appreciated.

“Watch this spot for future developments” – and be part of it!
