We are moving -starting April 2011-Our various set up phases we have been through in the last year are done and NVOC are now in a position organizationally to start being proactive in living up to our name of “The Voice of today’s Veteran”
We are now incorporated federally, we have 1500 members (and growing daily) Unit or Units set up in seven provinces (in the three provinces we don’t have Units; we will be establishing Members-at- Large.) There is a NVOC pamphlet available for the asking - and a newer one in design stage. We have set up a Group under Secretary Matt Carson to organize an AGM for election as soon as possible.
We, as NVOC consist of serving or former members of the Canadian Forces -who were with or in support of NATO- from post Korean War to the present day. We will remain separate NATO Veterans Organization of Canada, not under the umbrella of another veteran group and will be our own spokesperson. We will work with in alliance and cooperation with all other established Veterans groups as well as all new Veterans groups that have recently been set up. We will be composed only of veterans - no associates. We will now choose one at most two items to advocate for on your behalf.
Advocacy items are the ones that a combined voice is better than one or a small group. We will become the combined voice of our members-your voice. With your help we will grow! We have set up enough-organized enough- now let us be heard.
