Press Release

Posted 2011-03-26

NATO Veterans of Canada (NVOC) was pleased to hear that the New Veteran?s Charter Bill C-55 received Royal assent Yesterday before Parliament closed down for the election.

The fact that Bill C-55 received Royal assent doesn’t negate the determination of the NVOC organization to continue fighting for the rights of Canadian Forces Personnel and Veterans who have been injured, disabled or died in the service of Canada. The brave men and women who were injured or gave their lives while protecting the rights and freedoms of the Canadian people leave behind families and loved ones who need more support than offered by the Government.

The Government will continue to put Canadian Forces Personnel in harm’s way and NVOC will be here to fight for improvements to the Veterans Charter and advocate for those veterans and their families.

Gord Jenkins President
